Arranging authorized work at a rental
Before arranging work at a rental, identify who can approve the change and who will provide access. A clear authorization plan prevents an otherwise useful visit from starting with unresolved decisions.

Explain your connection to the property
Tell the provider whether you are the tenant, owner, property manager or an authorized representative. Ask what verification is needed for the specific service. If you are locked out and documents are inside, explain that early. Do not submit identity documents, lease records or entry codes through the website form. Arrange any required verification using the process discussed directly with the provider.
Agree on scope with the responsible person
A request to regain entry is different from permission to change the working keys or replace hardware. Clarify which doors are included and whether shared entrances or a master key system are involved. This guide does not decide lease obligations or legal access rights. If those questions are unresolved, the property’s responsible parties need to settle them before the locksmith changes the access arrangement.
Plan the handover
Identify who will receive keys, how many copies are approved and who will update the property record. For an occupied unit, coordinate access and the service window with the authorized contact. Note hardware faults separately from the rekey request. See rental-property rekeying and authorization preparation for related details. Keep the agreed scope clear enough that the on-site person can accept the finished work.
Arrange the next step
Contact WVC Locksmith with the property location, service needed and authorized point of contact. We can discuss the required preparation without requesting private documents in the initial form. Confirm permission and access before an appointment involving changes to rental-property locks.
